UK Centre for Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy
The Centre for Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy was set up in the early 1990s and it ran courses in association with the Centre for Stress Management. We have revised and updated the course programme to make it more accessable to health professionals wishing to undertake Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy Continuing Professional Development (CPD) at introductory and intermediate levels. The basic programme outline is below:
1. Primary Certificate in Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy & Counselling (introductory)
2. Primary Certificate in Advanced Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy Skills (Level 3)
3. Certificate in Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (Successful completion of Modules 2 and 3 above plus 2 book reviews)
4. Primary Certificate in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy & Training (introductory)
5. Primary Certificate in Advanced Cognitive-Behavioural Skills (Level 3)
6. Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (Successful completion of Modules 4 and 5 above plus 2 book reviews)
7. Primary Certificate in Multimodal Therapy & Counselling (Level 2)
8. Primary Certificate in Problem Focused Counselling, Coaching & Training (Level 2)
9. Primary Certificate in Assertion & Communication Skills Training (Level 2)
10. Primary Certificate in Trauma & PTSD (Level 2)
11. Certificate in Multimodal and Problem Focused Therapy (Successful completion of Modules, 7, 8 and either 9 or 10 above plus 2 book reviews)
Course Dates & Fees
Advanced programmes
The advanced training programmes consist of a combination of the primary and certificate courses above. This modular programme is designed to be flexible thereby allowing health professionals to fit the courses around their work schedules. The programme can be undertaken over a period of time.
· Advanced Certificate in Rational Emotive & Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (Successful completion of the Certificate in Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy and Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy). Additional modules from the Centre's courses can be added to the programme.
· Foundation Diploma in Rational Emotive & Cognitive Behavioural Therapies (Successful completion of Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, the Certificate in Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy and the Certificate in Multimodal and Problem Focused Therapy)
