INFORMATION
The International Academy for Professional Development offers a range of distance and blended learning professional development courses. The Centres and faculties provide a range programmes including stress management, coaching & coaching psychology, cognitive behavioural & rational emotive therapies, health & wellbeing.
TRAINING STAFF
The following staff, trainers and consultants are involved in running training courses either at the Centres or externally at other establishments: Liz Doggart, Nick Edgerton, Dave Ellis, Gladeana McMahon, Michael Neenan, Dr Siobhain O'Riordan, Professor Stephen Palmer, Peter Ruddell, Jennifer Liston-Smith, Lynda Strickland and Kasia Szymanska.
CERTIFICATED COACHING, PSYCHOLOGICAL COACHING, COACHING PSYCHOLOGY, STRESS MANAGEMENT, HEALTH, SAFETY & WELLBEING TRAINING IN LONDON, EDINBURGH, OVERSEAS OR IN-HOUSE
We run regular short and longer courses to aid managers, supervisors and personnel professionals to coach their staff. These certificated courses are run at our centre in London, England or in Edinburgh, Scotland. We are prepared to run our programmes outside the UK or in-house and have have delivered them in Europe, China, Japan, Cyprus and New Zealand. Download our training brochure

We have coaches and coaching psychologists who are experienced in providing coaching for the following areas:

LEADERSHIP & MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT
The Centre for Coaching is an Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM)Recognised Provider. As a recognised provider, the Centre runs a wide range of coaching and management development programmes which are suitable for Continuing Professional Development.
RESEARCH
Our team of Chartered Psychologists and Chartered Scientists will undertake research for external organisations. For example, we are currently researching into driving and presenting the research outcomes at meetings around the UK.
CONFERENCES
Our staff are available to give conference papers and run conference workshops on a range of coaching, coaching psychology, stress management and wellbeing, health and safety, and evidence based therapies such as cogntive behaviour therapy.
ARTICLES AND MEDIA
Our team can write articles on a range of coaching, stress and counselling related topics for newspapers, magazines and journals. We are experienced at being interviewed for TV and radio.

All enrolled candidates receive a Development certificate on completion of their course, along with one year's free studying membership of ILM, offering them access to a wealth of expert information, advice and support services to maximise their training experience and encourage CPD.
Our development programmes and courses vary in length and are usually between 12 hours and 30 hours duration. These courses form the modules for a range of coaching programmes and the Essential Management Development Programme at the Centre for Coaching. The Advanced Coaching Development Programme is over 100 hours in length. Certificates of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) are issued to delegates who attend 90% of a development programme.
